Indications:
Acyclovir is indicated for the treatment of:
Initial & recurrent mucosal and coetaneous herpes simplex(HSV-I & HSV-II) in immuno-compromised patients.
Severe initial clinical episodes of herpes genitals in immunocompotent patients.
Herpes simplex encephalitis
Neonatal herpes infections
Varicella-Zoster (Shingles) infections in immuno-compromised patients
